How should I take Vitamin D3/Vitamin D - non Rx?
Do not take more than the recommended dietary allowance unless advised by your doctor. Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA): for adults (24 years of age or older): 200 IU, for children and adults (1 to 24 years of age): 400 IU, for women with pregnancy and lactation: 400 IU. Eating a balanced diet and periodic exposure to sunlight usually satisfies normal vitamin D requirements. Never use vitamin supplements as a substitute for a balanced diet. Vitamin D3 tablets should be swallowed whole. Speak with your doctor before taking any supplemental vitamins.

Do not take Vitamin D3 if you are allergic to any of its ingredients, if you have high calcium levels or if you have signs of high levels of vitamin D.

Other types of vitamin D-containing drugs for example, multivitamins, should not be used while taking this form of vitamin D. Avoid excessive use of medicines that contain aluminum or magnesium as well as simultaneous use of mineral oil while taking this medicine.
