Indications

Monistat 1 ovule is indicated for the management of vaginal yeast infections. Monistat 1 ovule (Miconazole), classified as an azole antifungal, effectively mitigates symptoms such as vaginal burning, pruritus, and abnormal discharge commonly associated with this medical condition. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting yeast (fungus) proliferation, thereby curbing the causative factors behind the infection.

Uses and Dosage

This product is designed for vaginal use only. Ensure thorough hand cleansing before and after use and avoid contact with your eyes. If eye contact occurs, rinse immediately with water and consult a healthcare professional if irritation persists.

The dosage depends on your medical condition and response to treatment. Typically, apply once daily at bedtime for 1 to 7 nights, as directed by your healthcare provider. If using a single-dose tablet, it can be taken during the day or at bedtime.

For insertion, unwrap the tablet and follow package instructions for using the applicator or your finger. While lying down with knees bent, gently insert the tablet or applicator into the vagina as far as comfortable. To release the tablet, slowly press the applicator plunger as directed.
