Description

Indications

Aristocort R Cream is prescribed to manage corticosteroid-responsive skin conditions, including eczema, dermatitis, allergies, and rashes.

Aristocort R Cream is a corticosteroid with moderate to high potency. While the exact mechanism of its anti-inflammatory action remains uncertain, it is believed to alleviate swelling, itching, and redness associated with the said conditions.

Uses and Dosage

Before applying Aristocort R Cream and with each prescription refill, thoroughly review the accompanying medication guide and patient information leaflet. Should you have any questions or concerns, seek guidance from your doctor or pharmacist.

This cream is intended for topical use on the skin, but avoid application to the face, groin, or underarms unless specifically instructed by your doctor.

Typically, Aristocort R Cream is applied to the affected skin area two to four times daily as prescribed by the doctor.

To properly apply this cream, follow these steps:

  1. Start by washing and drying your hands.
  2. Ensure that the affected area is clean and dry before applying the cream.
  3. Apply a thin layer of the cream over the affected area and gently massage it in, as instructed by your doctor.
  4. After application, clean your hands unless the cream is being used to treat your hands.

Do not use any coverings, bandages, or wraps on the treated area unless your doctor specifically instructed to do so.

Refrain from wearing plastic pants or tight-fitting diapers when treating a diaper area.

This cream should not be applied on areas with infections or open sores.

Caution should be exercised when applying this cream near the eyes to prevent unintended contact that could worsen or result in glaucoma.

Likewise, avoid contact with the nose or mouth. If accidental contact with the eyes, nose, or mouth occurs, ensure thorough rinsing using ample water.

To maximize efficacy, strictly follow the prescribed guidelines for applying Aristocort R Cream. Do not exceed the recommended amount or prolong its usage beyond the specified period.
