Description

Indications

Condylox Solution is indicated for the topical treatment of external genital warts.

Classified as an antimitotic drug, Condylox Solution works by inhibiting wart growth, leading to eventual detachment.

Uses and Dosage

Before initiating the use of Condylox Solution, carefully read the patient information leaflet provided by your pharmacist. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for any inquiries.

Condylox Solution is for use on the skin only.

Avoid contact with the eyes; in case of accidental contact, promptly rinse the eye with plenty of water and seek medical assistance.

Apply this medication exclusively to the genital warts specifically identified by your doctor. Avoid using it on warts near the anus, mucous membranes (e.g., urethra, rectum, and vagina), internal areas, or other skin growths.

Typically, Condylox Solution is applied twice daily, with a 12-hour interval, for three consecutive days, followed by a four-day treatment break.

If the warts persist, you may repeat the seven-day cycle for a maximum of four treatment weeks in a row. Adhere precisely to your doctor’s instructions.

To properly administer this solution, follow these steps:

  1. Begin by cleansing the targeted area with soap and water, ensuring thorough drying afterward.
  2. Use the included applicator, dampening it with the solution without causing excessive dripping from the tip.
  3. Apply the solution exclusively to the warts as per your doctor’s instructions, avoiding the surrounding area. A hand mirror may be helpful for precision.
    • For warts situated within skin folds, gently pull the fold open to access the wart and apply the solution.
    • Allow the solution to dry before letting the skin fold to return to its natural position.
  4. Dispose of the applicator in a secure manner after a single use. Do not re-dip it into the solution.
  5. After each application, cleanse your hands with soap and water.

Avoid using bandages or waterproof dressings to cover the treated region. Instead, you may opt for cotton gauze or cotton underwear if a covering is necessary, particularly for the genital area.

Refrain from applying Condylox to healthy skin. If it accidentally contacts healthy skin, promptly wipe it off and cleanse the area thoroughly with soap and water. Moreover, avoid excessive application of this medication or using it on a wide area.

For optimal results, adhere to a consistent schedule when using Condylox Solution. Consider using a calendar to mark the days of application each week to aid in remembering.

Adhere to the prescribed frequency and duration of this medication, as using it more frequently or for longer periods will not expedite your recovery and may heighten the risk of side effects.

Inform your doctor if your condition persists beyond four weeks of treatment, worsens, or if new growths develop during the treatment period.
