Description

Indications

Motrin Childrens is a grape-flavored medication for children to temporarily alleviate minor aches and pains caused by the common cold, flu, sore throat, headache, and toothache and to reduce fever.

As a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), Motrin Childrens works by inhibiting the body’s production of specific natural substances responsible for inflammation, thereby reducing swelling, pain, and fever.

Uses and Dosage

Before giving Motrin Childrens to your child for the first time and every time you get a refill, carefully review the instructions on the product package. Should you have any inquiries, consult a doctor or pharmacist.

The appropriate dosage of Motrin Childrens is determined based on the child’s weight, medical conditions, and response to treatment.

Typically, this medication is taken every 6 to 8 hours as needed. Adhere strictly to the dosing instructions provided on the product package or as prescribed by the doctor if this medication is recommended.

Ensure thorough shaking of the bottle before each administration and accurately measure the dosage with a designated medicine cup or spoon. Avoid using a regular household spoon to prevent incorrect dosing.

Motrin Childrens should be given to a child at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration to minimize the risk of stomach bleeding and other potential side effects.

For the best results, administer this medication to your child at the initial signs of pain. Delaying until the pain worsens may diminish the effectiveness of the medication.

Discontinue the use of Motrin Childrens if your child does not experience relief within the initial 24 hours of treatment.

Promptly seek medical advice if your child’s fever worsens or persists for more than 3 days.
