Description

Indications

Analpram HC Cream is a prescription medicine used for alleviating itching and inflammation stemming from various skin conditions, including allergic reactions, eczema, minor burns, and insect bites.

Furthermore, Analpram HC Cream is effective in addressing itching or swelling associated with hemorrhoids or inflammatory conditions of the rectum or anus.

Analpram HC Cream is a combination of pramoxine, a corticosteroid, and hydrocortisone, an anesthetic or numbing agent. Pramoxine works by disrupting pain signals transmitted from nerves to the brain, while hydrocortisone diminishes the activity of inflammation-inducing chemicals in the body.

Uses and Dosage

Before using Analpram HC Cream and with every prescription refill, thoroughly review the accompanying medication guide and patient information leaflet. Seek guidance from your doctor or pharmacist for any queries or uncertainties.

Analpram HC Cream should be applied exclusively to the skin as directed by the doctor. Prevent contact with the eyes, nose, ears, or mouth; if contact occurs, promptly rinse the affected area with plenty of water.

Analpram HC Cream intended for rectal use should only be used for rectal application.

Typically, Analpram HC Cream is applied to the affected area 3 to 4 times daily, depending on the severity of the condition.

For skin application, follow these steps:

  1. Prior to application, wash and dry your hands.
  2. Thoroughly cleanse and dry the affected skin area.
  3. Apply a small quantity of the cream to the affected area and gently massage it into the skin.
    • Unless directed by your doctor, refrain from covering the treated skin area.
  4. After applying the cream, wash your hands unless you are using it to treat a hand condition.

For rectal application, follow these steps:

  1. The use of this cream is advisable after a bowel movement.
  2. Begin by cleaning the affected area with mild soap and water, ensuring thorough rinsing and gentle patting dry.
  3. To treat the external anal area, apply a small amount of the cream to the affected region and gently rub it in.
  4. For internal application, use the applicator tip, following package instructions or your doctor’s guidance. Fill the applicator as directed.
  5. Carefully insert the applicator tip only 1/2 to 1 inch (1.5 to 2.5 centimeters) into the anus and apply as instructed in and around the anal opening.
    • Do not insert your finger or any part of the container into the anus and avoid going beyond 1/2 to 1 inch (1.5 to 2.5 centimeters) with the applicator tip.
    • Never use your finger to apply the medication internally.
    • Unless directed by your doctor, avoid using plastic or waterproof bandages to cover the area.
  6. After use, wipe the applicator with a tissue and replace its cover.
  7. Immediately wash your hands after application.

For optimal outcomes, use Analpram HC Cream regularly, exactly as directed at the same time each day. Refrain from exceeding the prescribed dosage, frequency, or duration of treatment advised by your doctor.

Notify your doctor if your condition does not improve or deteriorate within 1 to 2 weeks.
