Drug Description

Indications

DuoLube Eye Ointment is used to alleviate eye dryness and mitigate further irritation.

Formulated with white petroleum and mineral oil, DuoLube Eye Ointment provides effective lubrication for the eyes. This helps maintain optimal moisture levels, protecting against potential harm and infections, while also relieving dry eye symptoms such as burning, itching, and the sensation of a foreign object.

Uses and Dosage

Before using DuoLube Eye Ointment and each time you get a refill, carefully read and follow the instructions on the product package. For questions or further details, seek guidance from your healthcare provider or pharmacist.

DuoLube Eye Ointment may be administered once or multiple times daily to the affected eye(s).

To properly apply this ointment:

  1. Begin by washing your hands thoroughly.
    • Be cautious not to touch the ointment tip or allow it to come into contact with your eye or other surfaces to prevent contamination.
  2. Gently pull down the lower lid of the affected eye.
  3. Position the tube directly above the eye and gently squeeze a small strip, approximately 1/4 inch, of ointment onto the inside of the eyelid.
  4. After applying the ointment, release the eyelid, close the eye, and slowly move your eye in all directions to evenly distribute the medication.
  5. Use a clean tissue to blot away any excess ointment from around the eye.
  6. After each application, wash your hands and remember to securely replace the ointment cap.

Consult your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or worsen while using DuoLube Eye Ointment.
