Indications 

Zincofax Extra-Strength is a topical ointment indicated for treating and preventing diaper rash. In addition, it provides temporary relief for minor skin irritation associated with diaper rash. 

Zincofax Extra Strength works by creating a protective barrier on the skin to shield it from irritants and moisture. 

Uses and Dosage 

Read and follow all the guidelines on the packaging of Zincofax Extra Strength or use it as directed by your doctor. For any questions, seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist. 

Zincofax Extra Strength is intended for skin use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, in case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water. 

This ointment is usually applied as needed on a clean and dry diaper area. 

To properly apply Zincofax Extra Strength: 

1. Start by washing your hands. 
2. Clean and dry the diaper area. 
3. Apply the ointment liberally. 
4. Wash hands after each application. 

To remove Zincofax Extra Strength from the skin, wash the affected area with mild soap and water. Alternatively, mineral oil can be used to help wipe off the ointment. 

Discontinue the use of this ointment and consult a doctor if your condition worsens or persists for more than 7 days. 

Side Effects 

Zincofax Extra Strength does not usually induce side effects. Nevertheless, promptly inform your doctor of any serious side effects, such as skin irritation. 

Allergic Reactions 

Seek immediate medical assistance if you experience symptoms of an allergic response to Zincofax Extra Strength, such as: 

• Rash 
• Trouble breathing 
• Itching or swelling (especially of the face, tongue, or throat) 
• Severe dizziness

Cautions 

Talk to your doctor before using Zincofax Extra Strength if you have any known allergies, especially to white petroleum, zinc oxide, or any of the inactive ingredients in Zincofax Extra Strength ointment. 

Consult your doctor if Zincofax Extra Strength is suitable for you if you: 

• Have other medical conditions, particularly skin infections in the diaper area 
• Are pregnant 
• Are breastfeeding 

Ask your doctor about the safety of using Zincofax Extra Strength if you are taking other medications, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. 

Zincofax Extra Strength contains an oily formula. Prior to laundering clothes, ensure to eliminate any excess ointment and then apply a dish detergent or specialized stain remover for oily stains. Adhere closely to the guidelines provided with the chosen product.
