As an antihistamine, Clarinex Syrup works by inhibiting the production of histamine, a natural substance produced by the body in response to allergic reactions.

Desloratadine closely resembles loratadine. Refrain from using medications that contain loratadine while using Clarinex Syrup. 

Taking Clarinex Syrup can potentially affect specific laboratory tests (allergy skin testing), leading to inaccurate results. Inform laboratory staff and all your healthcare providers about your use of this medication. 

The use of Clarinex Syrup during pregnancy should only be considered if necessary. Consult with your doctor to understand the potential risks and benefits. 

Inform your doctor if you are nursing a child as desloratadine is excreted into breast milk.
