Indications  

Rogaine for Men Foam is a hair regrowth treatment indicated for male pattern baldness (MPB), a form of androgenetic alopecia, to promote hair growth. 

Rogaine for Men Foam is categorized as a vasodilator drug. Its precise mechanism of action remains unclear, yet it is believed to involve scalp blood vessel dilation, potentially enhancing hair follicle function and promoting hair growth. 

Uses and Dosage 

Before starting treatment with Rogaine for Men Foam, and every time you get a refill, carefully read all information on the package and enclosed booklet. Should any inquiries arise, consult your healthcare provider or pharmacist. 

Rogaine for Men Foam is intended for external use and is specifically designed for men’s use only. 

This hair regrowth foam should be applied to the crown of the scalp twice daily, in the morning and at night.  

To properly use Rogaine for Men Foam, follow these steps: 

1. Begin with dry or damp (not wet) towel-dried hair. 
2. Part your hair into several rows to optimize scalp exposure. 
3. Invert the canister and release half a capful of foam onto clean, dry fingers. 
4. Delicately massage the foam into the areas of your scalp where hair is thinning. 
5. Allow the foam to be fully absorbed and air dry completely before blow-drying, styling your hair, or going to bed. 
6. After use, wash hands thoroughly and be cautious not to get the medication in the eyes; if contact occurs, rinse with ample cool water. 

Do not apply this hair regrowth foam to other body areas. Avoid application on red, painful, irritated, scraped, cut, or infected skin.  

For optimal results, use this hair regrowth foam exactly as directed. Avoid overuse or application to an irritated or sunburned scalp, as it may lead to the drug being absorbed into the body, resulting in severe side effects.  

New hair growth may become noticeable after at least 4 months or more, appearing initially soft, colorless, and barely visible. Continued treatment should lead to a gradual transformation, matching the color and thickness of the existing hair. 

If your condition fails to improve or worsens after 4 to 6 months of using Rogaine for Men Foam, or if you suspect a serious medical issue, promptly inform your doctor. 

Side Effects 

Listed below are the potential adverse effects of Rogaine for Men Foam. Inform your doctor right away if any of them persist or worsen. 

Common Side Effects 

• Changes in the color or texture of the hair 

Serious Side Effects 

• Severe scalp irritation 
• Unwanted growth of facial hair 
• Chest pain or fast heartbeats 
• Swelling in the hands or feet or rapid weight gain 
• A light-headed feeling with a potential fainting 
• Headache, dizziness, or confusion 
• Flushing (warmth, redness, or tingling sensation) 

Promptly contact your physician if you encounter any serious side effects. 

Allergic Reactions 

Although rare, a severe allergic reaction to Rogaine for Men Foam may occur. Seek immediate medical help if you experience indications of an allergic reaction, such as: 

• Hives 
• Breathing difficulties 
• Swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat

Cautions

To ensure Rogaine for Men Foam is safe for you, disclose to your physician your medical background, especially if you have a history of: 

• Scalp diseases (e.g., eczema, infection, cuts) 
• Heart problems (e.g., chest pain, heart attack, heart failure) 
• Kidney disease 
• Liver disease 

Notify all healthcare providers of any current or recently started or stopped medications, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements, to minimize the possibility of drug interaction with Rogaine for Men Foam. 

Some products that may interact with Rogaine for Men Foam include: 

• Drugs for high blood pressure (e.g., guanethidine) 
• Drugs that interact with alcohol (e.g., disulfiram, metronidazole) 

Rogaine for Men Foam is contraindicated for: 

• Women 
• An individual with no family history of hair loss 
• For sudden or patchy hair loss 
• Unknown reason for hair loss  
• Individuals under 18 years of age, including babies and children 
• Scalp being treated with other medicines 

To prevent scalp irritation, refrain from applying Rogaine for Men Foam on the days scheduled for hair coloring or chemical treatments, such as perming. 

Store Rogaine for Men Foam within the 20-25°C (68-77°F) in a controlled room environment. 

To prevent the canister from exploding, store it away from open flames or high heat, such as in a hot car. Do not puncture or burn an empty canister.
