Indications 

Neo-Synalar Cream is a prescription medication used to treat certain skin conditions that have an underlying bacterial infection, such as dermatitis and eczema.  

Neo-Synalar Cream is primarily used to treat corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses with secondary infection, such as eczema and dermatitis. It is also used to treat certain skin infections caused by bacteria. 

This combination medicine contains two active ingredients, neomycin and fluocinolone acetonide. Neomycin is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria, while fluocinolone acetonide is a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation and itching on the skin. 

Use and Dosage 

Neo-Synalar Cream is applied topically to the affected area of the skin, usually two to four times daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional. The affected area should be cleaned and dried before applying the cream. 

1. Wash and dry the affected area before applying the medication. 
2. Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area, and gently rub it in until it is absorbed into the skin. 
3. Wash hands after applying the medication unless the hands are the affected area. 
4. The frequency and duration of use will depend on the patient’s condition and the healthcare professional’s instructions. 
5. Do not bandage or cover the affected area, unless directed by a healthcare professional. 

Patients should avoid using it on the face, underarms, groin, or diaper area unless directed by a healthcare professional. If symptoms do not improve or worsen after using Neo-Synalar Cream, patients should consult their healthcare provider. Neo-Synalar cream is meant for external use (on the outside of the body) only. Do not get the cream in your eyes, nose, mouth, or genitals. If there’s contact to these areas, make sure to rinse the area with water well to avoid side effects.

Cautions 

• Neo-Synalar Cream is a prescription medication and should only be used as directed by a healthcare professional. 
• The cream should not be used on the face, underarms, groin, or diaper area unless directed by a healthcare professional. 
• Patients should not use the cream for longer than prescribed, as prolonged use may increase the risk of side effects. 
• Patients should not apply the cream to open wounds or infections. 
• Patients should inform their healthcare provider if they have any allergies or medical conditions before using Neo-Synalar Cream. 
• Patients should avoid using other topical medications on the same area unless directed by a healthcare professional. 
• The cream should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding without first consulting with a healthcare professional. 
• If they have a history of allergic reactions to any of its ingredients. 
• The cream should not be used on children under 2 years of age unless directed by a healthcare professional. 
• Patients should not use the cream on large areas of skin, or for extended periods of time, as it may increase the risk of side effects. 
• Patients should avoid exposure to sunlight or artificial UV rays (such as tanning beds) while using the cream, as it may increase the risk of skin irritation or sunburn. 
• The cream may interact with other medications, supplements, or herbal remedies. Patients should inform their healthcare provider of all medications they are currently taking before using Neo-Synalar Cream. 
• Patients should not apply the cream to the eyes, mouth, or nose. If the medication comes into contact with these areas, patients should rinse thoroughly with water. 
• Patients should report any signs of skin irritation, such as redness, swelling, or itching, to their healthcare provider. 
• If symptoms do not improve or worsen after using Neo-Synalar Cream, patients should consult their healthcare provider.
