Indications 

Comfortis Chewable 27.10-54kg is used for the monthly prevention and treatment of flea infestations in larger dogs. 

As an antiparasitic, Comfortis Chewable 27.10-54kg works by disrupting the nervous system of fleas within 30 minutes, resulting in their elimination within four hours. 

Uses and Dosage 

The use of Comfortis Chewable 27.10-54kg is restricted to licensed veterinarians’ orders. Follow their prescription closely and carefully review the packaging instructions before giving it to your dogs for the first time and with each prescription renewal. 

Treatment with Comfortis Chewable 27.10-54kg can be started at any time, but it is best to begin a month before flea season and continue monthly until the season ends. In places where fleas are always around, uninterrupted monthly treatment is advised. 

The recommended dosing schedule for Comfortis Chewable 27.10-54kg is one tablet per month. 

Administer this medication with a meal to optimize its effectiveness. Dogs easily consume it when offered just before feeding, or it can be given in food or orally like other tablet medications. 

If vomiting occurs within one hour of administration, administer another full dose. 

In the event of a missed Comfortis Chewable 27.10-54kg dose, administer it as soon as you recall. Avoid administering additional or double doses; the next dose should be given one month from the last dose given. 

Side Effects 

The most common side effect of Comfortis Chewable 27.10-54kg is vomiting. This can be reduced when administered along with a meal.

Cautions

Comfortis Chewable 27.10-54kg can be safely administered with various products and medications. However, informing your dog’s veterinarian about all administered or planned medicines for your dog’s well-being is recommended. 

Consult with a veterinarian before using Comfortis Chewable 27.10-54kg in pregnant or lactating females and those with pre-existing epilepsy. 

The safety of using Comfortis Chewable 27.10-54kg in male dogs intended for breeding has not been assessed.
