Drug Description

Indications

This pharmaceutical formulation is indicated for the management of minor pain, pruritus, swelling, and discomfort associated with hemorrhoids and other anal conditions, including anal fissures and itching. Hydrocortisone, a corticosteroid, serves to mitigate redness, pruritus, and edema, thereby contributing to the alleviation of symptoms.

Uses and Dosage

For the intrarectal application of this product, employ the provided applicator tip/cap/nozzle in accordance with the instructions outlined in the product package or as specifically directed by your medical practitioner. Fill the applicator with the prescribed medication from the container following the designated guidelines. Gently introduce the applicator tip to a depth of merely 1/2 to 1 inch (1.5 to 2.5 centimeters) inside the anal canal, ensuring application in and around the anal opening as per the given directives. Avoid the introduction of fingers or any part of the container into the anus, and restrict the insertion of the applicator tip/nozzle to the specified range of 1/2 to 1 inch (1.5 to 2.5 centimeters) inside the anus. Refrain from utilizing your finger for the intrarectal application of this medication. In the case of a single-use tube and applicator, dispose of both components after a singular use.

For outside rectal application restricted to the external anal area, utilize your finger to administer a modest quantity of cream or ointment to the affected region and gently massage it in.
