Drug Description

Indications

Ectosone Lotion is prescribed for a range of skin conditions, including eczema, dermatitis, allergies, and rashes.

Ectosone Lotion is a moderate-potency corticosteroid with an unclear mechanism of anti-inflammatory action. However, it effectively diminishes the swelling, itching, and redness associated with the said corticosteroid-responsive skin conditions.

Uses and Dosage

Prior to applying Ectosone Lotion and upon each prescription refill, thoroughly review the package insert and accompanying instructions. Should you have any inquiries or require additional information, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Ectosone Lotion is intended for skin use only; ensure it does not come into contact with the eyes or mouth.

Unless instructed by your doctor, avoid using this lotion in genital, and rectal areas, as well as in skin folds and armpits.

Typically, this lotion is administered twice daily, in the morning and evening, to the affected skin area. Your doctor may prescribe a higher dose for persistent cases, but after improvement, a once-daily application may be advised.

To properly apply Ectosone Lotion:

  1. Begin by washing and drying your hands.
  2. Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly.
  3. Shake the lotion bottle before each use.
  4. Apply a few drops of the lotion to the affected area and gently massage it until it is absorbed.
  5. After application, wash your hands, unless you are using the lotion to treat your hands.

Avoid wrapping or bandaging the treated area unless instructed by your doctor. When applying the lotion to diaper area, refrain from wearing snug-fitting diapers or plastic pants.

Use Ectosone Lotion only for the prescribed condition. Do not use more of it or apply it more frequently or for longer than prescribed.

Contact your doctor if the treated area worsens or exhibits symptoms such as increased burning, swelling, redness, or pus discharge.
