Typically, one tablet of Nytol Extra Strength is taken 20 minutes before bedtime as needed or as prescribed by the doctor. If morning drowsiness occurs, the dose may be decreased to half a caplet. 

To optimize outcomes, follow the precise instructions for taking Nytol Extra Strength. Avoid exceeding the recommended dosage. 

Consult your doctor before exceeding a 7-day duration of Nytol Extra Strength. Continuous use of this medication may result in reduced effectiveness. 

If sleeplessness persists for over two weeks, discontinue the use of Nytol Extra Strength, and seek advice from a healthcare professional, as it could signal a potentially serious underlying condition.

Cautions

• Narrow-angle glaucoma 
• Enlarged prostate or urinary retention 
• Moderate to severe liver or kidney disease 
• Muscle weakness, epilepsy, or seizure disorders 
• Restless leg syndrome 

Nytol Extra Strength is contraindicated in individuals with: 

• Stomach or gut obstruction (e.g., due to an ulcer) 
• Phaeochromocytoma 
• Issues with ‘QT interval prolongation’ 
• Current or past cardiovascular disease, or if the heart rate is excessively low 
• Low salt levels in the body (e.g., low potassium or magnesium levels) 
• Use of specific medications for heart rhythm problems or drugs affecting heart rhythm 

• History of sudden death from heart problems in close family members 

Seek guidance from your doctor or pharmacist before using Nytol Extra Strength if you are taking other medications, including prescription and nonprescription drugs, vitamins, and other herbal supplements. 

Refrain from driving or using machinery for at least 8 hours after taking Nytol Extra Strength. 

Pregnant or nursing women should refrain from using Nytol Extra Strength. If there is a possibility of pregnancy or plans to conceive, consult a doctor before taking this medication.
