Drug Description

Indications 

Calamine is a topical anti-itch medication that provides a cooling sensation as it evaporates on the skin. It can aid in drying up, oozing or weeping from minor skin irritations.  

Calamine topical is indicated for the treatment of itching and skin irritations that are caused by various minor skin conditions, such as chickenpox, insect bites or stings, measles, eczema, sunburn, and poison ivy. 

Uses and Dosage 

This medication is intended for topical use only. Follow all instructions provided in the product package or as directed by your healthcare provider. 

Prior to use, ensure that the bottle is well shaken. Apply the medication to the affected area using a cotton pad and allow it to dry completely. If you have any questions or concerns, consult with your doctor or pharmacist. 

Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, nose, and genital/anal areas. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse them thoroughly with plenty of water. 

If your condition fails to improve within 7 days or worsens despite using this medication, notify your doctor immediately.
