It contains the active ingredients dichlorobenzyl alcohol and amylmetacresol. These ingredients have antiseptic properties and are commonly used in throat lozenges to help alleviate symptoms of sore throat and cough.
Cepacol Lozenges are available without a prescription and can be used as needed for temporary relief. The sugar-free formulation is suitable for individuals who prefer to avoid sugar in their lozenge options.
Use and Dosage
Cepacol Lozenges Sugar Free Lemon is meant to be dissolved slowly in the mouth. Take one lozenge and place it in your mouth. Allow it to dissolve slowly in your mouth without chewing or swallowing it whole.
For Adults and children 5 years or older it is allowed the lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth. Do not chew or swallow it whole. You can repeat this every 2 hours as needed or as directed by a healthcare professional. Do not use more than 8 lozenges in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Children under 5 years of age should not use Cepacol Lozenges unless directed by a healthcare professional. For children over 5 years of age, follow the same instructions as adults.
