Drug Description

Indications

Cleocin Solution is indicated for the treatment of acne in individuals aged 12 and older.

Cleocin Solution is classified as a lincomycin antibiotic, and its precise mode of action remains unclear. However, it is thought to impede bacterial growth responsible for acne and alleviate inflammation.

Uses and Dosage

Before starting treatment with Cleocin Solution and with every prescription refill, thoroughly read the medication guide and patient information leaflet available. Should you have any queries, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Cleocin Solution is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina.

Typically, this solution is applied to the affected area twice daily, as prescribed by the doctor.

To properly use Cleocin Solution, follow these steps:

  • To use the provided applicator:
    1. Remove the cap and dispose of it.
    2. Insert the applicator firmly into the bottle.
    3. Securely seal it by tightening the dome-shaped cap.
  • To apply the solution:
    1. Thoroughly clean and dry the targeted skin area.
    2. Apply a thin layer of the solution to the affected area.
      • Use sparingly, avoiding contact with the eyes and mouth. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with tap water.
    3. When using the applicator top, employ a dabbing motion with the tip, avoiding a rolling action.
      • If the tip becomes dry, invert the bottle, and press the tip several times until it moistens.

For optimal results, use Cleocin Solution exactly as directed at the same times daily. Refrain from exceeding the recommended dosage or frequency without seeking advice from your doctor.
