Drug Description

Indications

Drixoral Decongestant Nasal Spray Metered Pump is a nasal spray used to relieve nasal congestion, sinus congestion, and pressure due to a cold, hay fever, or other types of allergies. It comes in a metered pump dispenser, which allows for a controlled dose every time it is used. The spray provides fast-acting relief and has a sustained 12-hour duration of action.

Drixoral Decongestant Nasal Spray Metered Pump contains the active ingredient oxymetazoline, which is a nasal decongestant. It works by constricting the blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and congestion. This helps to relieve nasal congestion and improve breathing.

Use and Dosage

To use the Drixoral Decongestant Nasal Spray Metered Pump, follow the directions on the package label. If it is your first time using the spray, remove the protective cap and prime the pump by pressing down on the rim several times. This helps to ensure that the spray is properly dispensed. When you are ready to use the spray, hold your head upright without tilting and place the tip of the bottle in your nostril. Squeeze the bottle quickly and firmly to release the spray into your nostril. Breathe in deeply to ensure that the medication reaches your nasal passages.

Adults and children 12 years of age and older. Shake well before using. Blow your nose before using. Apply 2 to 3 sprays in each nostril every 12 hours. Do not apply more than 2 times in 24 hours. Do not use for longer than 3 days. Before using it for the first time, remove the protective cap from the tip and pricing the metered pump by depressing firmly several times. To spray, hold with thumb at the base and the nozzle between first and second fingers. Without tilting head, insert nozzle into nostril, fully depress rim with a firm even stroke and sniff deeply. Wipe the nozzle clean after use.
