Indications 

Gaviscon Extra Strength Butterscotch is an antacid medication that provides relief from heartburn, acid reflux, and GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux Disease). It is formulated without aluminum, lactose, and gluten, making it suitable for individuals with specific dietary restrictions or sensitivities. 

Gaviscon Extra Strength Butterscotch is an antacid tablet that is used to relieve symptoms of heartburn, acid reflux, and GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). It contains aluminum hydroxide and magnesium carbonate, which work together to neutralize stomach acid and create a protective barrier in the stomach to prevent acid from flowing back into the esophagus. 

Gaviscon Extra Strength Butterscotch is available in chewable foam tablets or tablets. The butterscotch flavor adds a pleasant taste to the medication. Gaviscon Extra Strength Butterscotch begins working immediately to provide relief from heartburn, acid reflux, and GERD symptoms. 

Use and Dosage 

Gaviscon Extra Strength Butterscotch comes in the form of a tablet to take by mouth usually after meals and before bed. Chew 2-4 tablets after meals and at bedtime as needed, or as directed by a doctor. Do not take more than 16 tablets in 24 hours.  

The recommended dosage for Gaviscon Extra Strength Butterscotch is to chew 2-4 tablets when symptoms of heartburn, indigestion, or acid reflux occur, or to take as directed by a doctor. The maximum recommended dosage is 16 tablets per day. Do not use the maximum dosage for more than 2 weeks, except under the advice and supervision of a doctor.  

If you are currently taking a prescription drug or are on a sodium-restricted diet, consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before using the medication if you are presently taking a prescription drug.
