Gravol Long Action Dual Relief is a medication designed to provide relief from symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and motion sickness. It is formulated with a dual-action formula that combines immediate and sustained release, allowing it to work quickly and provide long-lasting relief for up to 12 hours. 

Gravol Long Action Dual Relief contains an active ingredient called dimenhydrinate, which is an antinauseant. It works by blocking certain signals in the brain that trigger nausea and vomiting. The dual-layer technology in the caplets ensures that the medication is released in a controlled manner, providing both immediate relief and extended duration of action. 

Use and Dosage 

Gravol Long Action Dual Relief is a chewable tablet to take it by mouth usually with or without food every 4 to 6 hours, depending on the condition being treated. Swallow the caplets whole with water. Do not chew or crush them, as this may affect the controlled release mechanism of the medication. 

Adults and children aged 12 years and older can take 1 or 2 caplets every 4 to 6 hours, as needed, up to a maximum of 8 caplets in 24 hours. The dosage may vary depending on the individual and the severity of symptoms. Take the caplets at the onset of symptoms or as directed by a healthcare professional. The medication is designed to provide immediate relief followed by long-lasting effects for up to 12 hours. 

Use Gravol Long Action Dual Relief exactly as recommended by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are taking the tablet regularly and miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you are not sure what to do after missing a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Cautions 

• Drowsiness and Impaired Coordination: Gravol Long Action Dual Relief may cause drowsiness and impair coordination. Avoid activities that require alertness, such as driving or operating machinery, while taking the medication. 
• Excessive Heat Exposure: Gravol can reduce sweating, which may affect the body’s ability to cool down in hot environments or during exercise. Be cautious when taking Gravol in these situations and take appropriate measures to avoid overheating. 
• Glaucoma and Lung Diseases: Do not take Gravol Long Action Dual Relief if you have glaucoma or lung diseases such as bronchitis or emphysema, as it can worsen these conditions. 
• Allergic Reactions: While rare, serious allergic reactions to Gravol can occur. Seek medical help immediately if you experience symptoms such as rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. 
• Long-Term Use: Using large amounts of Gravol for an extended period can lead to various problems, including depression, confusion, lack of energy, vomiting, difficulty urinating, and trouble thinking or socializing. Withdrawal symptoms may occur when stopping long-term use, such as excitability, weakness, poor appetite, stomach cramps, and nausea. 
• Drug Interactions: Gravol should not be mixed with alcohol, codeine, cannabis, or sleeping pills, as it can result in unexpected effects and excessive drowsiness. Consult a healthcare professional or pharmacist about any potential interactions with other medications you are taking.
