Description

Indications

Micro K Extencaps are used to treat and prevent hypokalemia (low blood potassium levels) caused by insufficient dietary potassium intake or certain medical conditions, such as severe and prolonged diarrhea, vomiting, hyperaldosteronism (hormone problem), or diuretic therapy.

Micro K Extencaps are mineral supplements that work to replenish potassium levels and prevent potassium deficiency, ensuring optimal functioning of cells, kidneys, heart, muscles, and nerves.

Uses and Dosage

Thoroughly review the information leaflet accompanying Micro K Extencaps before the first use and at each prescription refill. Seek clarification from your doctor or pharmacist regarding any sections that may be unclear.

The dosage of Micro K Extencaps varies per individual based on their medical conditions and response to the treatment.

Typically, this supplement is taken twice to four times daily, as prescribed by the doctor, either with or immediately after meals.

The capsules must be swallowed whole, along with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew them, as this may lead to a sudden release of the drug, elevating the risk of side effects.

Individuals with difficulty swallowing the capsules can open the capsule and sprinkle its contents onto a spoonful of soft food to aid ingestion.

The mixture must be consumed immediately without chewing and should not be prepared beforehand. Follow each dose with a glass of cool water to ensure complete ingestion of the medication.

To achieve optimal results, consistently take Micro K Extencaps at the same times daily as directed. Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and refrain from increasing or exceeding the recommended frequency.

In case of a missed dose, take it as soon as you recall and evenly space out any remaining doses for that day. Avoid doubling up on doses to compensate for a missed one.
