Drug Description

Indications

Nicorette Fresh Mint is a type of nicotine gum that is used as a quit-smoking aid. The gum is indicated to be chewed when a person experiences cravings for a cigarette, and the nicotine is absorbed through the lining of the mouth. This helps to reduce the intensity of cravings and other withdrawal symptoms, making it easier for people to quit smoking.

Nicorette gum works by delivering a small amount of nicotine to the body, which helps to alleviate nicotine withdrawal symptoms that occur when a person tries to quit smoking.

The fresh mint flavor of Nicorette Fresh Mint is designed to make the gum more palatable and enjoyable to use. Note that Nicorette Fresh Mint is intended to be used as part of a comprehensive quit-smoking program, which may include other forms of support and treatment.

Use and Dosage

The gum is available in a fresh mint flavor and available in 4mg strengths and is designed to alleviate nicotine withdrawal symptoms in people who are trying to quit smoking. It is used by mouth as a chewing gum and should not be swallowed. To use Nicorette Fresh Mint gum, users should follow the instructions on the packaging carefully.

The gum should be chewed whenever a person experiences a craving for a cigarette, but not more than 24 pieces of gum per day. Users should chew the gum slowly until the taste becomes strong, and then park the gum between the cheek and gum to allow the nicotine to be absorbed through the lining of the mouth. The gum should not be chewed like regular gum and users should not swallow it. Wait at least 15 minutes after smoking before using Nicorette Fresh Mint gum. Users should not use the gum for more than 12 weeks without the advice of a doctor.

Do not chew nicotine gum too fast, do not chew more than one piece of gum at a time, and do not chew one piece too soon after another. Chewing one piece of gum after another continuously may cause hiccups, heartburn, nausea, or other side effects.
