Drug Description

Nilstat cream is used to treat fungal or yeast infections of the skin, including mucocutaneous and cutaneous mycotic infections caused by Candida albicans and other susceptible Candida. It is also used to treat fungus infections of the vagina.

Nilstat cream is an antifungal medication that contains nystatin. It belongs to the group of medicines called antifungals. It works by stopping the growth and spread of fungal infections by binding to the fungal cell wall and preventing it from growing.

Use and Dosage

Nilstat Cream is intended for external use only and should not be taken by mouth. When applying the cream, use a thin layer and cover the affected area with a sterile gauze dressing. Do not use an airtight bandage, such as a plastic-covered bandage. If you believe you have taken too much of the medication, please contact a poison control center or emergency room immediately. If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you can.
