Drug Description

Indications

Nix Dermal Cream is a topical medication used to treat scabies, a skin condition caused by mite Sarcoptes scabiei that burrows into the skin and causes intense itching.

The cream contains (5% Permethrin) which is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that works by targeting the nervous system of the mites and lice, causing paralysis and death. It works by paralyzing and killing the mites and their eggs that cause scabies infections.

Use and Dosage

Nix Dermal Cream is applied a thin layer of cream all over your skin from your neck down to your toes (including the soles of your feet). Be careful to apply cream in all skin folds, such as between your toes and fingers or around your waist or buttocks.

To use Nix Dermal Cream, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your skin is clean and dry before applying the cream.
  2. Apply a thin layer of cream all over your skin from your neck down to your toes, including the soles of your feet.
  3. Massage the cream into your skin until it is fully absorbed.
  4. Leave the cream on your skin for 8 to 14 hours.
  5. After 8 to 14 hours, wash off the cream by showering or taking a bath.
  6. Put on clean clothes and bedding.
