Description

Indications

This medicinal product is indicated for the management of hypertension. By reducing elevated blood pressure levels, it can effectively mitigate the risk of serious conditions such as stroke, heart attack, and renal disorders.

This therapeutic formulation consists of two active ingredients, namely trandolapril and verapamil. Trandolapril belongs to the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor class, while verapamil belongs to the calcium channel blocker class.

These pharmacological agents exert their therapeutic effects by inducing vasodilation, resulting in enhanced blood flow. Verapamil has the potential to decrease heart rate.

Uses and Dosage

Prior to commencing treatment with trandolapril/verapamil, kindly refer to the Patient Information Leaflet, provided by your pharmacist. Should you have any queries, do not hesitate to consult your healthcare provider.

This medication should be administered orally with food, once or twice daily, in accordance with your physician’s instructions. The tablets should be swallowed whole, and not crushed or chewed, as doing so may lead to rapid drug release and subsequent side effects.

The recommended dosage is determined based on your medical condition and response to therapy.

In order to maximize the therapeutic benefits of this medication, take it regularly at the same time(s) each day. Continue taking this medication even if you are feeling well, as hypertension is usually asymptomatic.

Abrupt cessation of this medication may exacerbate certain conditions. Thus, please consult with your healthcare provider prior to discontinuing use. Dosage reductions may be necessary to facilitate gradual discontinuation.

It may take a few weeks for the full therapeutic effect of this medication to manifest.

Please notify your physician if your condition fails to improve or worsens, as indicated by persistent or increasing hypertension readings.
