Drug Description

Indications

Epiduo gel is intended for the dermatological management of acne vulgaris in patients aged nine years and above, administered through topical application.

Epiduo Gel, comprising adapalene and benzoyl peroxide, is a synergistic combination of a vitamin A-like medication and an antibacterial agent with mild drying properties. Epiduo Gel is prescribed for treating acne in individuals aged 12 years and above.

Uses and Dosage

EPIDUO gel is indicated for topical application exclusively and should not be used orally, ophthalmically, or intravaginally. Following a thorough cleansing routine, a thin film of EPIDUO gel should be applied to the affected areas of the face and trunk once daily. To ensure proper dosage, a quantity equivalent to the size of a pea should be used for each area of the face, such as the forehead, chin, and each cheek. Exercise caution and prevent contact with the eyes, lips, and mucous membranes during application.
