Drug Description

Indications

Toviaz is a medication approved for the treatment of two conditions affecting the bladder.

Overactive bladder (OAB) in adults with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency, and frequency. Neurogenic detrusor overactivity (NDO) in pediatric patients aged 6 years and older with a body weight greater than 25 kg.

Fesoterodine is indicated for the treatment of overactive bladder and neurogenic detrusor overactivity, conditions that affect bladder storage and control, and are characterized by symptoms such as frequent urination, strong sudden urges to urinate, and incontinence. Fesoterodine works by relaxing the muscles in the bladder, thereby improving the patient’s ability to control urination.
