Drug Description

Zyrtec is an antihistamine medication that functions to diminish the impact of endogenous chemical histamine in the human body. Histamine, when released in excessive amounts, can induce unpleasant symptoms such as sneezing, itching, lacrimation, and rhinorrhea.

In both adult and pediatric populations, Zyrtec is prescribed to mitigate the manifestations of cold or allergy symptoms, including sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Furthermore, Zyrtec is efficacious in addressing the symptoms of chronic urticaria, specifically, itching and inflammation.
