Drug Description

Indications

Durezol (Difluprednate Ophthalmic Emulsion) is indicated for the management of postoperative ocular inflammation and pain. it demonstrates efficacy in addressing the complexities of endogenous anterior uveitis, a condition characterized by severe inflammation of the eye. This pharmaceutical agent is classified within the corticosteroid drug class, renowned for its therapeutic effects.

Uses and Dosage

Durezol is classified as a corticosteroid medication that exerts its therapeutic effects by inhibiting the release of inflammatory substances in the body.

To ensure the proper administration of Durezol eye drops, observe certain guidelines. First and foremost, wash your hands thoroughly prior to applying the medication. to maintain sterility, refrain from touching the dropper tip or allowing it to come into contact with your eye or any other surface.

For individuals who wear contact lenses, remove them before instilling the eye drops. wait at least 10 minutes before reinserting contact lenses after administering the medication.

To effectively administer the eye drops, tilt your head back and gaze upwards. Subsequently, pull down the lower eyelid gently to create a small pocket or pouch. Position the dropper directly over your eye and dispense one drop into the created pouch. After instilling the eye drop, look downwards and gently close your eyes for approximately 1 to 2 minutes. Placing a finger near the inner corner of the eye, close to the nose, and applying gentle pressure can help prevent the medication from draining out. refrain from blinking or rubbing the eye during this time. These steps should be repeated for the other eye if specifically instructed to do so or if the prescribed dose consists of more than one drop.
