Indications 

Nootropil is a prescription medicine approved for addressing various medical conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory impairment, alcoholism, Raynaud’s phenomenon, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), stroke, tardive dyskinesia, dyslexia, brain injury, and vertigo. 

Nootropil is a derivative of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). Its exact mechanism of action remains unclear, but it is believed to enhance the functioning of cells in the brain and blood vessels, potentially improving their overall performance. 

Uses and Dosage 

Before taking Nootropil and with each prescription refill, carefully review its medication guide and patient information leaflet. Consult your doctor or pharmacist regarding any questions or uncertainties. 

The dosage and length of treatment with Nootropil may vary per individual based on the condition being treated and their response to the treatment. For children, age and weight are also considered. 

Typically, Nootropil is taken daily with a total dose of 1.6-9.6 g. Take this medication exactly as directed by your doctor. 

Refrain from altering the prescribed dosage, frequency, and duration of intake of Nootropil without your doctor’s approval.  

Consult with your doctor before discontinuing the use of this medication. 

Ensure Nootropil is stored in a secure place inaccessible to children. If the tablets display discoloration or any signs of deterioration, consult your pharmacist for guidance.

Cautions 

Before starting treatment with Nootropil, inform your doctor and pharmacist of any known allergies, particularly to piracetam, other drugs, or any of the components of Nootropil tablet and liquid solution. 

Nootropil should not be used in the presence of the following conditions: 

• Hepatic impairment 
• Severe renal impairment 
• Pregnancy 
• Lactation 
• Hemorrhagic diathesis 

Notify your doctor and pharmacist of all prescription and non-prescription drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are taking to minimize the risk of drug interaction with Nootropil.
