Drug Description

Indications

Tudorza Pressair is nasal medication indicated for the maintenance treatment of patients with COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It is used to prevent bronchospasm and improve airflow in the lungs.

Aclidinium, the active ingredient in Tudorza Pressair, is an anticholinergic medication that works by blocking the action of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter, on the airway smooth muscles. This helps to relax and open up the airways, making it easier to breathe.

Use and Dosage

The recommended dose of Tudorza Pressair Inhaler is one oral inhalation of 400 mcg, twice daily. It is a breath-actuated inhaler, so you need to inhale the medication while pressing down on the green button on the top of the inhaler.

To use Tudorza Pressair Inhaler (aclidinium bromide inhalation powder), follow these general steps:

  1. Remove the protective cap from the inhaler mouthpiece and shake the inhaler well. Check the expiration date on the inhaler and make sure it is not expired.
  2. Breathe out fully, away from the inhaler, to ensure your lungs are empty.
  3. Hold the inhaler upright with the mouthpiece facing you and place your lips tightly around the mouthpiece. Take a fast, deep breath in through your mouth, and at the same time, press down firmly on the green button on the top of the inhaler. This will release a dose of the medication.
  4. Remove the inhaler from your mouth and hold your breath for about 10 seconds, or as long as is comfortable for you.
  5. Breathe out slowly and gently away from the inhaler.
  6. If your healthcare professional has prescribed two doses per use, repeat steps 2-5 to take the second dose.
  7. If you have been instructed to rinse your mouth after using the inhaler, do so after you have completed all the necessary doses.

Note that these steps are a general guide and the specific instructions for using Tudorza Pressair Inhaler may vary.
